Following on from Stephen Eastwood's very cool test on D-SLRs, I have printed a few of his and David Sparers shots, on my Epson 1290 inkjet Printer.
These were done on Ilford's Smooth Gloss Paper (compares very well to Epson Premium super Gloss), printed a bordered A4 at 1440dpi, from Photoshop.
Then Scanned on my Canon N1220U scanner, at 150dpi for web use. The colors are a fair bit off, mainly due to the scanner.
IRL they look pretty much the same as they do on my calibrated monitor.
Nikon D100:
Fuji S2 Pro:
The Fuji file was a 12megapixel interpolated image.
Canon 10D:
IMHO the D100 print looks the best.
