Sydney’s Best Sandwich?

October 13th, 2008 by admin

Last week for lunch we visited a sandwich shop which a friend rated 10/10. I thought that was a pretty big call so I had to find out for myself. Firstly, it was huge. Normally sandwiches i find are a little light for a big lunch, but this left me completely satisfied. Secondly, the bread was super fresh. They cut their slices off a full loaf right in front of you. And thirdly, the ingredients offered are a refreshing change; mash potatoes, cooked carrots, beans, etc all on top of the traditional bases of ham, chicken, etc. I had a chilli chicken on brown, and will definitely go back for more.

The sign was cool too:

South Dowling St, Darlinghurst. It’s on the west side, just between Anzac and Oxford.

Used to be my local when I lived on Taylor St. Different owners now, but tastes the same – chicken schnitzel sanga was my thing.
