Flossin’ – Literally.

Dental Floss

Here’s a bit of a random post for you. So I went to the dentist for the first time in a while recently, I was lucky in that I didnt have any cavities, however the dentist mentioned that I should floss more often. I have been trying various flosses? to see which I like the best.

The above pic has them in my order of preference from right to left. The Oral-B one I didn’t like much, just your regular tape, a little too thick for my close teeth. The flavour isn’t particularly nice either. The Colgate one is OK, again nothing special. I actually preferred the previous Colgate version, which had their logo horizontal rather than vertical.

My two favourites are the Reach branded ones, the Total Care version is impregnated with a kind of tooth paste, which is pretty cool as it tastes OK. This floss is also more like a wool type, made up of many stands, very comfortable, however it does feel a little messy with a bit of the paste ending up on your fingers as you progress.
The champ for me is Reach’s Ultraclean, it lives up to its name. It’s similar to a tape but not as thick, and its surface is a new design that aims to trap more nasties. It seems to work, my teeth feel the cleanest after this model.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks for the tip Kula, I normally hate flossing but I’m going to try the one you recommend!

Try interdental brush too if you are extra lazy with flossing like me.
    Much easier than traditional flossing.
