Uluru Texture
I’ve always been interested to find out what Uluru feels like. Today I found out.

J.O.B. – from Uluru

July 28th, 2010 by admin

I’m at Uluru for a few days covering a conference. I have a nice hotel room at Sails in the Desert, and what better way to make use of it than to jump on the bed.

Jumping on Beds
Tried to hold up the ceiling here.

Jumping on Beds
Yup, the rock is pretty special. It might just be a huge rock in the middle of the arid landscape, but just looking at it creates emotion, so here is my meditating jump.

Jumping on Beds
Lets to get horizontal.

Jumping on beds animation
I left my pocket wizards at home (purposely) so I put the 1D on selftimer and bracket, meaning it fired 7 shots at a rate pf 10 frames per second. So I thought lets make an animation of it, I like how you can see me bounce back off the bed.

FUEL Magazine
With so many print magazines in a state of flux, and many even shutting up shop completely, it would seem like a strange time to start a new magazine. FUEL is a new magazine that has just released it’s fourth issue, but after looking at it, deserves to succeed. FUEL oozes cool. It’s format is as unique as most of it’s subject matter, it’s significantly smaller than most magazines, but that just adds to the appeal in many ways.

FUEL Magazine wrapping
One thing which made me appreciate the dedication and passion in this magazine was how it arrived. It came in what looked like was hand wrapped tissue paper, sealed with a cool little sticker. It was like receiving a present.

FUEL Magazine stickers
Once opened the presents continued with a sweet contact card and a sticker. Stickers are always great.

Fuel content
Not to mention the content, which is enough of a present as it is.

Most good newsagents should stock it, if not, check the website out: www.fuelzine.com

In case you have been living under a rock, Speedhunters is possibly the biggest car enthusiast website in the world. For this month their theme was Photography and I was honoured when the email came asking me to have my work featured there.

Here it is.

Wedding Season?

July 12th, 2010 by admin

Usually winter is the quiet season for wedding photographers. We have mixed that up a little, with three very different weddings on the past few weeks.
I’ve been in a bit of a B&W mood of late, and so I decided to show only some B&W photos from Chris and Michelle’s amazing wedding, that Carol and I were lucky enough to photograph recently.

The lads in the middle of the road always looks good.

Pretty flowers.

Anytime is a good time to dance.

You can just feel the happiness here.

Classic cats.

Another angle.

Mouse view.

It’s official.

Mr and Mrs.

Probably the most nervous part of the day.

First dance.

OK, I had to end on a little bit of colour.

Exotics at the ‘Creek

Lamborghini Gallardo Ferrari California Aston Martin Vantage
I just finished a shoot with some of the world’s greatest cars.

Sports Car Rentals, are a company who allow you to drive them, or be driven in them by some of Australia’s best drivers. They organise drive days at race tracks such as Eastern Creek, and along some of the greatest public roads around Sydney. I was asked to photograph a selection of their machinery at Eastern Creek, and enjoyed it to say the least.

Lotus Elise CR

No, I didn’t get to drive the car’s, but I’m working on it.

Lamborghini Gallardo

The Lamborghini Gallardo in orange just looked amazing.

Lamborghini Gallardo Nissan GT-R

Along with Italian exotics, SCR feature a new Nissan GT-R, which was probably the fastest car of the group on the track.

Eastern Creek Winter
Stunning winter days at Eastern Creek.

Nissan GT-R badge

I always like close ups of badges.

Ferrari Badge
More so when they say Ferrari.

Ferrari Prancing Horse
Or better still when they don’t say any words at all.

If you have the means, or are thinking of an amazing and unique present for that special someone, a drive day with Sports Car Rentals is an experience you won’t soon forget.
